Giulio Gianturco was born in 1953, he graduated in medicine and surgery (specialized in thermal medicine and medical hydroclimatology, and phlebology), in the 80s he participated in numerous catamaran races, and it's there where he learned and appreciated the characteristics of some technical materials (stainless steel, titanium, aramid fibers, etc.).
He transferred his experience with these materials to designing and building the first pieces for his home, followed by requests from friends and then very small production runs. He collaborates with many companies including Agape, Cea, Foscarini, Boffi, Fantini, etc. His projects have received numerous awards such as EDIDA 2005, DESIGNPREIS 2007, WALLPAPER AWARD, ADI DESIGN INDEX 2017.
After a gap year spent in the USA, he leaves the medical profession, to focus solely on design. He presented G_BICYCLE, a demountable bicycle project, in production in 2015. In 2018 he presented ANOTHER LIFE, an easy way to recycle plastic bottles and turn them into showers and showerheads.
