Giulio Cappellini
Giulio Cappellini was born in Milan. In 1979 he graduated in architecture and, later, he attended the School of Business Management at the Bocconi University in Milan.
In 1979 he joined Cappellini S.p.A. as an Art Director and in some cases as a designer. Many Cappellini products are present in the Permanent Collections of the main museums of contemporary art.
He also collaborates with opinion leaders in the drafting of various texts on the history of design. Recently he was elected by Time magazine as one of the ten world trend setters of fashion and design and ambassador of excellence of Italian design in the world.
Giulio Cappellini is also the Art Director of the Ceramica Flaminia companies, a leading bathroom furnishing company for which he has also designed products and of Istituto Marangoni Design Campus.
He has also developed products for the Invisible and Light Icons. He also teaches as a visiting professor in many faculties of design and architecture in the world and organizes exhibitions and events including the "Temporary Museum for Design" at Superstudio Più in Milan and Italian Hospitality at the Singapore fair.
He also collaborates as a project leader with Oikos and Tod's on special projects involving designers from all over the world.
